If there’s anything that brings kids together in Nicaragua – it’s their love of soccer!

That’s why our discipleship coordinators decided to host the first ever soccer camp for boys in our pre-leadership program. It’s rare that leaders from different communities get to spend time together, so it’s special that guys from El Limonal, San Carlos, and Salinas Grande were able to share this experience. The goal of soccer camp was to create a space for leaders to have fun, and to share stories about going through the pre-leadership process. It’s safe to say this was achieved! Here’s what one of our staff members had to say about the camp..

“This is definitely an activity that will be repeated! I watched pre-leaders build relationships and even desire to keep in touch. It was cool to watch them go from laughing together on the soccer field, to creating deep, genuine relationships over a meal. We even got to sing and worship together! Our goal is to always create a space for them to participate in genuine, safe fun while building Christ-centered community.”
